[Cognate Application, 10,392/12.] Tyre covers, tools for removing and replacing. -A tool for facilitating the replacement of pneumatic and like tyres on wheel rims comprises a lever b, having a part a hinged to it at c and adapted to hook over the rim or to grip a flange g<1> on one part of a circumferentially divided rim, and a hinged part f bearing against the tyre bead j. The movement of the lever b forces the bead into the groove in the rim. The part a may be secured by a detachable pin a<1>, and may be fitted to another part d of the lever b to enable the part f to be used for forcing on the outer bead, as shown in Fig. 7. A lever for holding the outer bead clear of the rim during the manipulation of the security bolts is shown in Fig. 9. According to the first Provisional Specification the part a is not detachable from the lever b.
