26,374. Fraser, J. J. Nov. 25. Plastic compositions containing oxychlorides. -In the covering of walls, floors, &c. with panels &c. of artificial stone, the surface to be covered is cleaned, and a composition consisting of about 75 per cent of pitch, 15 per cent of Portland cement, 7 per cent of pulverized slag, stone, or gravel, and 3 per cent of creosote oil, is applied in a heated state. Panels are moulded on a glass or like plate from a composition such as that described in Specification 5079/11, but preferably having 40 per cent of slag and 36 per cent of magnesite, and when partially hardened are placed with the glass plate against the wall, the plate being removed when the plate hardens. Borders of other coloured material may be placed round the panels as desired. It is stated that chemical action takes place between the pitch composition and the artificial stone, generating enough heat partially to melt the pitch and form bound between the wall and the panel.
