Abstract

25,267. Swenson, C. Nov. 13. Plastering.-A plastering-machine, provided with means for forcibly -discharging plastic material against a wall or other surface, is mounted on a broad structure 1 ... 5 and comprises a hopper 7 supported by lifting-tackle 16, 18, 19, 20, the upward movement of the hopper actuating the discharge mechanism. Inside the hopper are removably mounted a shaft 8, carrying loose gear-wheels engaging racks 6 and a ratchet-device which allows rotation of the shaft 8 during the upward movement of the hopper. The shaft 8 carries a boss 12, with a number of spoon-shaped spring-arms 13 which, after picking up cement &c. off a plate 29, strike a bar 14 and project the cement with force against the surface to be covered. An adjustable trowel member 35, carried by the hopper, may smooth the cement. The shaft 8 is connected by chain and sprocket gear to a feeding-cylinder 26 with paddles 28, some of which are sufficiently long to strike, in passing, a bar 31 on the feeding-plate 29, and so feed forward the cement &c.
