Non-metallic elastic bodies and cores.-A solid tyre of approximate horseshoe section is formed with two converging annular projections 11, the edges of which are held together by an attached strip of elastic webbing 14. The strip may be formed with a rib 15 to provide for transverse stretching. Below this is a second strip of elastic webbing 16 with thickened edges fitted in grooves in the walls of the tyre. Aunular ribs 3 on the rim flanges fit into grooves on the walls of the tyre.
