Abstract

Take-up motions.-In letting-back arrangements wherein a weighted lever G, H provided with a toothed sector engaging the take-up ratchet-wheel A is used, the lever has a curved arm G so that its toothed part K may be placed between the boss of the actuating-lever F and the take-up wheel A. The lever G, H is pivoted on a stud M adjustable in the slot M<1> of a bracket L, which is provided with two studs N, N<1> projecting at right-angles to one another and furnished with adjusting-screws O, P. The toothed part K is depressed by the teeth on the wheel A during normal running, but, when the driving-catch D and retaining-catch E are raised, the toothed part is raised by the weighted arm H, which falls until a projection H<1> engages the screw O so that the wheel A is positively let back to an adjustable extent. The toothed part K is provided with an end piece Q, whereby it may be manually depressed to clear the teeth on the wheel A and allow the weaver to pull back,' the backward movement of the lever G, H being limited by the adjusting- screw P.
