Abstract
21,270. Tenney, F. Feb. 1, 1912. Tobacco. - For imparting moisture to, or absorbing it from, tobacco in jars, pouches, &c., a device, comprising an inner perforated case containing an absorbent material such as blotting- paper, plaster of paris, &c., and a similarly perforated outer case, is provided having means for relative adjustment of the cases for regulating the diffusion or absorption.. Fig. 1 shows a disk-shaped form, the outer and inner cases of which may be relatively rotated to a limited extent by means of the knob H. The device may take the form of a cylinder, the adjustment being obtained by relative rotation, while in another modification, the perforations may be adjusted by a sliding movement.
