17,016. Sword, C. D. July 25. Springs, arrangement of and mounting undercarriages on; guiding vertical play.- Springs 7, Fig. 2, interposed between the swivelling axle end 5a and the forked end of the main axle 4, are placed on posts 6 projecting outside the fork. The post shown in Fig. 2 is integral with the swivelling pivot. The abutments 8 on the posts, against which the springs bear, are adjustably mounted. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, the swivelling axle is connected to the member 10 which swivels on the pin 11, springs 12 being arranged on posts 13 at each side of the fork 4 on the main axle.
