Abstract

4693. Emms, W. J. Feb. 24. Gas burners; burners, mounting.-A gas burner for heating the boiler of a kitchen range when a coal fire is not in use, or for use in other hot-water systems, comprises one or more burner tubes a, with nipples g<1> carried by a bracket g adjustable in position, mounted on a base c provided with levelling-screws f. As shown, two burner tubes may be detachably carried by brackets d and clips e on the base c, the rear end of which c<1> is narrowed to carry the sliding saddle-like bracket g bearing the nipples g<1> secured by a set-screw g<4>. The bracket g may be secured by a set-screw g<4>, or by a stud in the base passing through a slot in the bracket. A row of flame orifices h inclining outwards from the centre is provided on each of the burner tubes, two such rows being provided when there is one burner tube only. Flanges ax prevent longitudinal movement of the burner tubes.
