Abstract

2593. Coxhead, C. H. Feb. 1. Cooking-stoves.-Relates to a simplified portable stove or range specially adapted for field or camp use and of the type having a top-plate, provided with openings for the cooking utensils, to which the sides and ends are so hinged that they can be folded flat beneath it for transport. The fire is made upon the ground at the front end. When folded, the long sides lie on either side of a central stiffening T-piece on the underside of the hot-plate. Catches 16 secure the sides and ends to one another in the erected position. The front end 7 consists of an open frame with a hinged flap 11. A chimney 13 is secured over a flanged opening at the back end of the top-plate by means of pins 14 and a catch-device 15.
