Latches, sliding.-The inside operating-means for the latch of a motor-car or other vehicle door comprises a vertically sliding push-rod a, the lower end of which engages one arm of a bell-crank mounted on the spindle of the outside handle. The other arm of the bell-crank engages an abutment c on the bolt. A frame f secured to the casing serves as a guide for the bolt. and also carries a socket f<2> for the pushrod a. A. plate g guides the rod at the top of the door.
