Abstract
734. Breasley, A. T., and Capes, J. E. Jan. 11. Spring balances.-Relates to spring balances adapted to be carried in the pocket, and consists in adapting the suspending ring and hook so that they can be folded over the body of the balance and be secured to it. The ring A, Fig. 2, and the hook C are bent so that they can be folded over the body of the balance and be secured by spring clips E, Fig. 3, turnbuttons &c. In a modification, the parts fold over the back of the balance. Or the parts are connected to the ends of the balance by links, or engage in slots to allow them to be folded over either the front or the back as required.
