Abstract
28,192. Kay, W. R. Dec. 5. Wool scouring and washing type.-Deflecting or depressing plates of # cross-section are used in place of some of the usual reciprocating forks in machines for washing wool and other fibres. These plates b, Fig. 3, have open ends d, d<1>, and the lower splayed edges c, c<1> are furnished, either or both, but preferably only the leading edge 3, Fig. 2, with prongs g. These prongs g are formed integrally with the plates b I stamping and bending, or otherwise. Fig. 2 shows in plan several ways of arranging the plates b with respect to ordinary reciprocating framework f and the bowl a.
