Separators.-In a steam-separator having an inlet-pipe 1 which has an elongated outlet aperture 1<d> of the same area as the inlet-aperture 1<c>, the end of the inlet-pipe is inclined towards the baffle-plate 6, and the outlet-aperture 1<d> is wider at the top than at the bottom. Projections 2, 3 on the inlet-pipe prevent the separated impurities from re-entering the pipe. The steam passes through apertures 3<a> at the sides of the ribbed or corrugated baffle-plate 6, and the separated impurities are drained off through an aperture 8.
