Abstract

25,730. Jardine, E., and Levray, O. C. Nov. 5. Horse clippers and the like.-Relates to apparatus for removing float threads from lace such as is described in Specifications 14,838/97, [Class 42, Fabrics, Dressing &c.], and 15,779/08, and consists in providing improved means for raising and carrying the threads between the cutting - teeth comprising an air - jet casing A placed in front of and above the teeth T of the blades B, C, and having an outlet in the form of a slit A<1> or a row of perforations so that the air is directed on to the fabric in front of the cutters. The casing is carried by an adjustable bracket E and is fed with air by a supply pipe D, which has a flexible connexion to a fixed pump or a connexion to a pump mounted on the frame and driven from the same shaft as the blade C.
