Brackets employed for the purpose of securing bed - tables to vertical supports are formed with a bent portion D so as to bring the bedtable into a suitable position. In order to adapt the brackets for use on either side of a bed, the pivots, on which the table is pivoted, extend below as well as above the bracket so that this can be inverted.
