Moulding pulp; rotary-mould-table machines.-A press for drying and consolidating moist materials such as pulp, potato gratings, &c. comprises a rotary table c fitted with a series of perforated moulds d, each arranged in a hollow chamber adapted to communicate through openings 2, 3, 4 with a hollow spindle a connected to an exhaust pump. Material is fed into the mould from a receptacle l, and, during the rotation of the table c, the water is withdrawn through the apertures 2, 3, 4, the material being finally consodidated whilst the mould is in communication with the aperture 4 by means of a plunger f and a co-operating abutment n.
