Abstract
18,744. Peterson, H., and Kahlert. O. W. H. Aug. 9. Fly screens.-Relates to window - screens of the type comprising a sheet of fabric wound on a spring roller mounted in a casing on the window-sill, such fabric being strengthened at the edge to run in guides, and having a metal strip at its top edge, which is secured to the blind. It consists in securing the cord 12, which forms the thickened edge and which passes through a loop 10 woven in the edge of the screen, by turning-in the end as shown in Fig. 8, and retaining it by the U-shaped strip on the upper edge of the blind. This strip is attached to the sash by studs 7, Fig. 2, which engage in keyhole slots, in the strip, and is bent outwards, as shown at 15, to allow it to enter the guides 14 on the frame. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 2775/99.
