Abstract
14,855. Bosset, F. J., and Cachard, P. June 20. Picking-motions; pickers; checking shuttles.-In a loom for weaving four fabrics in two horizontal planes, double shuttle-boxes G, g, Fig. 1, are arranged at the sides and in the centre of the loom respectively. The shuttles are driven from the shuttle boxes G by means of picking-sticks J operated by cams Q, and the shuttles are driven from the box g by a picker. Fig. 12, which has striking-pieces 33, 34 and is operated by a picking - stick j having a T-shaped, end s. The picking-stick j is driven by a camactuated rocking piece 4, which is mounted in fixed bearings on the loom frame and carries blocks 7 adapted to engage rollers 6 on the piece s. The shuttle - box g is provided with swells 13, 14, Fig. 10, having projections 17, 18 adapted to coact with rollers 27, 28 mounted on the ends of pivoted rods 25, 26. The swells 13, 14 are connected to a bar 19 reciprocated by a lever 29, which moves to the right when the picking-stick j moves to the left and vice versa. The loom may be modified to weave any even number of fabrics.
