Abstract

13,632. Hollingworth, E., [Crompton & Knowles Loom Works]. June 6. Temples for pile-fabric looms employing longitudinal pile wires. A rod 12 carries at each end a roll 13 provided with disks 13<1> or corrugations, which enter between the rows of pile loops containing pile wires. The rolls are pressed outwards by springs 14 held in place by adjustable washers 15, and are pressed downward by springs 19, the tension of which may be adjusted by bolts 18. In wide looms, the rolls may be mounted on short rods, one at each side, fixed in a stand.
