Breech actions, drop-down barrel.-Relates to guns in which both lock plates are secured by a single screw-bolt, and consists in placing one or more springs on the bolt in order to give the plates an initial outward displacement when the bolt is released. In the construction shown in Fig. 2, the lock plates e, d are secured by the bolt f and nut g, and a spring h encircles the bolt and presses against both lock plates.
