Abstract

Paper-shelves; tabulating-stops.-The papershelf 22 is mounted by side plates 24 on pivots 25, so that the shelf can be swung rearwards away from the platen 26 to uncover the margin and tabulating stops 6, 14. The pivots 25 and the tabulating-stop rack 12 are carried by arms 9 mounted on pivots 2, so that the paper-shelf and tabulating-stop rack can be swung forwards towards the platen to uncover the parts below. Normally, the arms 9 rest with their inner free ends under a transverse rod 11, and the side plates 24 rest on the margin-stop rack 3. When the shelf is swung rearwards, the side plates 24 rest on a spring-pressed detent 16 for the tabulating-stops, which detent can then be depressed by pressure on the shelf. The rocking centre stop co-operating with the margin and tabulating stops is provided with a yielding abutment 21 for the tabulating-stops.
