Abstract

8021. Wyler, B. F. April 2. Rotary stirrers; containers.-In a machine for blending and making butter &c., of the type in which a beater interacts with a rake-shaped member removably secured in a jacketed container, the container is made of glass, earthenware, or other material easily cleansed, and the rake and beaters are so arranged that the devices for fixing them interfere with cleaning as little as possible. The glass or earthenware vessel b is held in place in an outer vessel a, which contains cooling or heating material, by means of spring clips c and an annular depression e in the cover f of the vessel a. On the cover f of the vessel a is mounted the gearing shown for driving the beater v, the squared upper end u of which fits removably into a hole in the bevel-wheel r, the lower end resting in a depression g at the bottom of the vessel b. The rake-shaped member o is formed with a hooked upper end l which fits into a notch i in the edge of the vessel b, and fits at the lower end into a recess m in the bottom of the vessel.
