7817. Bluemel, C. W., Bluemel, F. H., and Bluemel, E. A. March 31. Mud-guards, of the kind which are recessed to receive the forks, are provided with strengthening-bridges d, consisting of metal plates fitting over the mud-guard at the recessed part and provided with lateral recesses for registering with the recesses in the mud - guard. The bridges are provided with hooks f for engaging with the edges of the mud-guard, and are secured to the cross-bar p by straps o, Fig. 4, or one of the hooks on each side of the bridge may be provided with spring extensions h, which are secured to clips m mounted on the forks.
