Abstract

7259. Erickson, O. E., and Roland, C. S. March 23. Seals. - A seal for envelopes consists of a metal plate 27 provided with tongues 28, 29, and a plate 18 formed with sockets 20, 22 to receive the tongues 28, 29 when the two plates are pressed together. The plate 27 is secured to the closing-flap of the envelope by tongues 36, and the plate 18 is secured beneath registering openings in the side and bottom flaps by tongues 25. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 8142/09 and 12,813/09.
