Aerial machines with aerostats; planes, arrangement and construction of; parachutes; steering.-An air-ship, the weight of which is totally or partly supported by aerostats a, is provided with a system of planes, comprising an horizontal fire-proof plane b with side vertical fire-proof keelplanes c and adjustable steering planes d. The front and rear ends of the plane b may be adjustable for steering purposes. The planes d are so arranged that, together with the planes b, c, they form a parachute, as shown in Fig. 1, in case of failure of the engine.
