6683. Robertson, R. March 17. Direct air-pressure apparatus, non-automatic. - Watering-cans are provided with an air-pump when it is desired to spray liquid, such as insecticide, under pressure. The can a has a cylindrical projection a' to which the cover f is bolted in an airtight manner by bolts g mounted in a ring i and adapted to fit in slots in the cover. A hood j is provided, which prevents the escape of the pressure air before the liquid is ejected. The lower part of the hood is perforated and acts as a strainer. An extension tube l is provided for the spout b which can be made of flexible or rigid material. A rose c or jet nozzle d may be used, provision being made for attaching the nozzle not in use to the can as shown at c', d'. A relief valve may be fitted to the can, which is also reinforced bv wooden battens and may be shaped to facilitate its being carried by a sling. When in use as an ordinary can, the cover f is removed. The utensil can be used for lime-spraying and for cleaning floors and windows.
