4560. Gee, J. E. Feb. 23. Screw propellers having flexible blades curved obliquely to the axis of rotation at their ends are prevented from buckling near the shaft by laminated springs c, d, e, f secured to one or both faces by rivets g or otherwise. The springs are less in width than the blades, so that these have sharp edges.
