Reinforced paper; Japanese paper. - Paper suitable for underclothing and other similar light articles of wearing-apparel is produced by incorporating, with the pulp used for making Japanese paper, a network fabric of silk, cotton, woollen or other thread. The paper is finished in the usual manner, and then softened by steaming it and passing it through, a mixture of petrol and borax; it is then submitted to great pressure between rollers.
