Abstract

2415. Fraser, W. G. Jan. 31. [Addition to 1684/09.] Rotary filters or strainers.-Two or more oscillating sheets moved towards and away from each other alternately are used in place of a single oscillating sheet provided inside or outside of a rotary pulp-strainer as described in the parent Specification. As shown, the sheets 1 are supported by arms 3 on shafts 4 provided with cranks 5, which are oscillated under the influence of springs 8 by cams 9 on a shaft 10. A number of paddles or bars may replace the sheets 1.
