2037. Fraser, H. S. Jan. 26. Mattresses.-The auxiliary supporting-cords d, Fig. 1, of intercoiled wire cords or solid wire for wire mattresses are connected together by woven wire-fabric pieces e, the position of which may be adjusted. The loose ends of the fabric e are turned back to form a solid edge, and the cords d are passed through the mesh. In a modification, two pieces of woven wire fabric are used, and spiral wires are woven through the reverse way of the fabric to hold the cords. In a further modification, the loose ends of the fabric e, Fig. 3, are turned back and wires passed through them, forming hooks g for connecting to fabric formed of interwoven wires or cords d.
