26,668. Low, A. Nov. 17. Check valves.-Relates to improved means for removably mounting storm and like valves in their casings. Fig. 1 is a section of a valve and casing, Fig. 2 is an elevation at rightangles to Fig. 1, and Fig. 4 is a plan of the valve and spindle. The valve a has a hollow sleeve f at its hinged end through which passes the spindle h secured at its ends in bearings i. The bearings i are bevelled at their top and bottom faces and slide in corresponding grooves j in the casing b. A weight g tends to keep the valve normally closed.
