Abstract

23,669. Linke, M., and Linke, C. Oct. 15. Theatres.-A music-hall or like structure is built of wood panels connected so as to be easily disassembled for transportation. The panels 8, 9, 10 forming the dome of the structure, are clamped edge to edge by means of connecting-devices 12 such as wedges and cotters and are suspended by means of hooks 6 from adjustable hooks 7 on a frame consisting of cross-rods 1, 2, braces 4, and curved rods 5. The frame is then hoisted in position by means of cables 3. A base row of panels 18 clamped at their edges to radial supports 14 is then arranged below the dome, and the building is completed by a row of panels 20 clamped together at their side edges and placed with their lower edges resting in a groove formed between the upper edges 23 of the panels 18 and a divided rim 24, and with their upper edges resting against the lower edge 29 of the panels 9, 10. The divided rim 24 consists of a number of lengths formed with recessed ends to receive tongues 25 on the supports 14 and connected bv means of the metal plates 26 and bolts or pins 27 as shown in Fig. 6. By increasing or decreasing the number of panels a larger or smaller hall can be produced.
