Pedestal stands. -Consists in t h e adaptation to the pedestals of f 1 a y - figure and displaying stands of the fastening comprising a split screwed s l e e v e o n one member of the support, and a coned nut on the other member. F i g. 2 shows the adaptation to stands for light articles such as hats. A coned nut 6 compresses the split end of a cap 5 which is screwed to a tube 2, thus adjustably securing it to the rod 3. Fig. 4 is the arrangement employed for lay-figure stands, in which the pedestal 8 sliding in the split tube 9 is secured by the coned nut 10.
