Abstract

Excavating; scraping-apparatus.-A dredging and digging apparatus comprises a framework 11, the inclination of which is adjustable, mounted on a rotatable platform 6, and guiding a sliding ladder 12 carrying an eccentricallypivoted bucket 16. The ladder is allowed to slide downwards until the bucket reaches the surface to be dredged, whereupon the ladder is drawn back by a cable 23 wound on a drum 22. The bucket is tipped at the desired point in its upward travel by a link 18 connected to a lever 19 contacting with a stop 21 adjustable on the main frame 11. The apparatus is shown mounted on a hull for dredging, but it may be used on land.
