Abstract

22,956. Purser, A. J. Oct. 8. [Cognate Application, 591/10.] Syringes.-A syringe for spraying liquid is provided with a concentric chamber for the liquid so that a portion of the same may be trapped off and used in any position of the syringe. Fig. 1 shows the air - pump barrel surrounded by a chamber 5 and provided with a separate chamber 6 communicating with the chamber 5 by a non-return valve 9. The air pipe 13 extends to the nozzle 11, and liquid is drawn up through the pipe 14. A drip cup 15 is fitted to the end of the syringe. Fig. 9 shows a modification in which the non-return valve is replaced by a pipe 9.
