21,230. Hollingworth, E., [Crompton & Knowles Loom Works]. Sept. 17. Yarns, warping. - Drop-detectors 13 for electro-magnetic or mechanical warp stopmotions of warping-machines are formed with an open-end slot 131 at their lower parts and a separate slot 13<2> with an opening 13<3> at their upper parts to receive the guide-rod 6, which constitutes one terminal in an electro-magnetic stop-motion, the other terminal being a bar 7 with which the upper inclined edge 13<4> of a fallen detector makes contact. Each detector preferably rests upon two crossed warps 12, and the warps are supported by rods 2, which also guide the detectors and are mounted in recesses 1<1> in end stands 1 secured to the frame of the machine. End frames 3, adjustably secured to the stands 1, support the rods 6 and the insulated bar 7.
