Bedstead frames, joints, and connexions.-In bedsteads and cots having pillars 4 of brass or other thin metal, a strong iron leg 6, inserted within the tubular pillar, is engaged by a projection 2 on the corner block k which passes through a slot in the pillar, the parts being arranged so as to grip the tubular pillar by a wedgeing action. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the projection is in the form of a hook, preferably of wrought iron cast into the corner block, a n d engages a tapering upwardly-projecting bar 10. The projection may also be of dovetail form, and engage a corresponding socket formed in the leg 6. The corner block is additionally secured by a bolt 22, passing through slots in the corner block and pillar and engaging a tapped hole in the leg 6.
