Abstract

18,401. Titchmarsh, F. A. Aug. 10. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Sounding-apparatus.-Sample-collecting leads 1 are made with recesses 6 in cylinders 5 attached to the main leads, pivotally-mounted grabs 7 in the recesses being held open normally by projections 11 on cross-bars 12 engaging notches 10, but being adapted to close under spring action when the leads touch the bottom; sleeves 13 thereupon slide up the cylinders 5 and raise the bars 12, which are ordinarily kept down by springs 14.
