18,257. Ince, M. A. Aug. 7. Cramps.-Floor joists are spaced by permanently attached thrust members which prevent subsequent warping and reduce any initial curve in the joists. A pair of abutment members B secured to adjacent joists F are threaded by screws D carrying nuts E, which, when rotated in opposite directions, impart the necessary thrust.
