[Addition to 27,128/08.] Matrices for type - bar making machines, and of the kind described in the parent Specification, are provided with a recess z on both sides of the foot so that, in falling from the distributing-bar, a matrix finds its way into the proper channel whether it falls too far to the right or too far to the left, according to the relative positions of the distributing-bar and case.
