4549. Bell, V. C. Feb. 24. Toothbrushes.-In toothbrushes for cleaning the inward and outward surfaces of the teeth, of the kind in which concave and convex brush-heads are arranged transversely to the handle, and have bristles extending transversely to the length of the handle, which is curved adjacent to the brushheads, the outermost rows 4, 6 are soft for massaging the gums, and the bristles are tapered in length from one side of the brush-head to the other.
