Abstract

4343. Bradford, H. Feb. 22. Rollers, garden.-Worm-casts &c. are removed from lawns, golf-greens, &c. by means of a light smoothing-roller, which may be combined with a brush. The worm-casts stick to the roller, and are removed periodically. The brush acts as a harrow, and may be arranged to act at the same time as the rollers or not. In the appliance shown, wooden rollers A are mounted:on a shaft E carried by brackets B projecting from a cross-bar C, which forms the back of the brush or brushes D and is provided with an inclined handle-bar F.
