Brake mechanism.-In compensating-devices for vehicle brakes, especially intended for carrier tricycles, the transverse tube carrying the brake blocks G is broken at the middle and forms two sleeves B, mounted on a central rod C carrying the brake lever D, on which is mounted a rocking plate E, which engages loosely at each end with arms F carried by the sleeves B. In a modification, the rocking plate is directly mounted on the boss d of the brake lever, and the arms F are replaced by studs or pins on the sleeves B.
