2100. Nashold, M. Feb. 3,1908, [Convention date]. Centrifugal machines; moulds.-A moulding- drum 1 is divided by a transverse partition 2 and is provided with pallet supports 6. The rear wall 7 of each mould is secured to the partition 2, the remaining sides being hinged together and retained by a clasp 11. In operation, a pallet 12 is placed upon the support 6 and the mould closed around it. Concrete &c. is then run into the mould, and, when full, a cover 15 is placed in position and secured by means of catches 16 acted upon by a spring 20 and engaging with notches 21 in the mould sides. When all the moulds are filled and closed, the drum 1 is rotated to pack the material within the mould ; and when sufficiently packed, the drum is stopped, the covers 15 are removed, the moulds opened, and the moulded blocks removed on the pallets 12.
