Attaching articles to wearing - apparel. - A watch guard or chain is provided with a device, which is reversible, for attaching it to the dress, comprising a front plate 1, Fig. 1, a back plate 2, and a distancepiece 3 rigidly connected to the plates. A split or solid link 4 is threaded over the piece 3 for attaching the chain 5. Both of the plates may be inserted in the button hole &c., and may be of any shape or design. The rigid member may be made in two parts, Fig. 3, to be screwed together. One plate may be attached to the rigid member by a ring or swivelling joint.
