Abstract
26,672. Buck, G. F., and Unbreakable Pulley and Mill Gearing Co. Dec. 9. Motor road vehicles.-The means usually employed to allow of the movements of the driving-wheels relatively to the frame are replaced by driving- shafts S and belt drives B'. The wheels may be driven by worm or bevel gearing situated within the boxes W, and the shafts S are made long and are supported at the pulley end by spherical bearings B. Differential movement at the road wheels is accommodated by the slip of the belts B' which may be flat, V-shaped, or circular in section. Alternatively, a differential gearing may be fitted, in which case sprocket chains may be used. Long radius rods R are provided, supported on pins H.
