Abstract

113,102. Hatfield, H. A. Oct. 26, 1916. Endless-track vehicles.- The track frames are centrally pivoted to the chassis, springs being arranged between the near ends of the frames and chassis. The track frames 5 are carried on a transverse pivotal shaft 3 supported by brackets 2 arranged to the rear of the centre of gravity of the chassis 1. Stays 21 connected to a rotatable collar 22 support the track frames. The chassis is provided with springs 25 connected by arms 27 to levers 28, the ends of which are connected respectively by links 29 on the chassis and arms 30 on the shafts 20 of the rear track-wheels 7. The rear track-wheels 7 are driven by chain gearing from a sprocket 17 on the shaft 3, the sprocket 17 being in driving connexion with a second sprocket 16 driven from a differential shaft 12 having brakes 24.
