Abstract

24,155. Harris, W. Nov. 11. Loomcreel frames ; take-up motions ; warp tension, regulating ; backb e a r e r s breast beams; cloth beams. -In a small-ware or other loom for weaving several fabrics simultaneously, the warps are drawn from spools i, Fig. 1, and the finished fabrics are wound on spools r, the corresponding spools i, r being locked together in such a manner that, as the spools i are rotated by the pull of the warps, the spools r are rotated to wind up the fabrics. The warps from the spools i pass over rollers j, through tensioning-devices m, and under glass bars g to the harness e. The woven fabrics n pass over glass bars c, around sand rollers o and pressure rollers p, and under a guide-bar q to the spools r. The spools i, r are mounted on pegs v secured to parallel rods u, which are inclined to the vertical and carried by cross-beams t. The finished fabrics are guided upon the spools r by removable slots a<2> resting on supports a<4>, an additional slot being placed upon the supports as soon as each coil of the fabric has reached the required diameter. The spools may be locked together by segmental projections w, Fig. 4, formed on theii ends ; or by the head of a screw &c. on one spool engaging a staple or recess with which the adjacent end of the other spool is provided.
