Loom shuttles, changing bobbins in, automatically. -In a magazine of the kind having one or more vertical compartments for superposed bobbins which drop by gravity, the support 4, Fig. 1, for holding the lowest bobbin 2 and releasing it at the proper time for transference to the shuttle, extends across the magazine and is pivoted at its ends to the guideways 1, 3 for the heads and tips of the bobbins. The head of the lowest bobbin rests on a pin 7 projecting from the inner end of the support, and its tip rests on the curved edge 10<2>, Fig. 7, of an adjustable plate 10 secured to the support. When the lowest bobbin is to be transferred to the shuttle, the support is rocked by a rod connected to a pin 6 thereon, the head and the tip of the lowest bobbin are released simultaneously and a pin 7<1> at the inner end of the support and the upper part of the plate 10 move under and support the head and tip respectively of the next lowest bobbin until the support 4 is returned to its normal position. A plate similar to the plate 10 may be used instead of the pins 7, 7<1>.
