Signals, electric-lamp.-In order that electric. lamps in glazed frames 1 may be selectively energized to form illuminated letters &c., contacts 5 in the lamp circuits are controlled by perforations in a band of gauge plates 6, which is fed forward with an intermittent motion by chain mechanism or by rollers 8 provided with pins for engaging holes 9. The current is switched on automatically between the periods of motion. The contacts 5 consist of spring pushes with inclined tops which are depressed by the plates 6 into a circuit-closing position, except those that come under perforations in the plates.
